The Cellist, Modigliani

Modigliani's painting, "The Cellist", created in 1909, is one of the few paintings where we find a subject absorbed in the act of performing an action, in this case, playing an instrument. In this work, we also recognize the artist's characteristic brushstrokes and his two-dimensional lines.
